The sketchpad is a special world within the Finite Frontier. It mirrors the configuration of the main world but it runs in creative mode rather than survival.
Access to this world is a donor perk. If you have donated any amount money to the Finite Frontier‚ you are free to use the Sketchpad forever.
To access the sketchpad, use this command:
/sketchpad
To return to the Frontier or the Ship:
/frontier
/ship
There are multiple purposes for the sketchpad:
Testing things in creative mode under the same settings as the main world, including plugins for claims, chestshops etc. This is almost impossible to do in normal single player mode but the sketchpad makes it easy.
When you switch to a single player world to use creative mode, you are alone. In the Sketchpad you can work with others, easily have them see and test what you built etc. Also, you are still in the same chat as everyone else on the server.
Switching to the Sketchpad and back is much faster and easier than switching back and forth between the server and a single player world.
The sketchpad has the same plugins and the same configuration as the main world, with a few exceptions:
Here are some of the things you can do:
/gamemode [survival/creative/...]
!permadayon
disables the daylight cycle and sets the time to noon.!permadayoff
enables the daylight cycle./rtp
/tp [x] [y] [z]
/tp [your_name] [other_player]
/home
, /sethome
etc./sell diamond #
and then buy claimblocks with /buyclaim
just like in the main world.Hopefully never. As seldom as possible. And only partially, one region file at a time.
Haksndot reserves the right to roll back changes because creative mode and WorldEdit can create very ugly things very quickly. If players behave well and refrain from creating huge random structures, holes in the ground etc—then the sketchpad world will never be reset.
But since resets might happen, make sure to save anything you care about, e.g. as schematics.
Claims and balances might be reset at any time.
This is how the world looked immediately after being generated, untouched by player activity.
The playable area (inside the world borders) is 4,177 x 4,177 blocks.
